Common questions

How are credits calculated? ▾
Credits are deducted when you run AI analysis on your document — not at export. The number of credits depends on the estimated question count: 1 credit for up to 30 questions, 2 credits for 31–80, 4 credits for 81–150, and 6 credits for 151+. You'll always see the credit cost before confirming.
Can I get a refund? ▾
Yes — you can request a full refund within 5 days of purchase, provided none of the credits from that pack have been used. Once any credit has been consumed, the purchase is non-refundable. Contact us at support@examconverter.com to request a refund.
Does my document need to be in a specific format? ▾
No. The AI reads your document semantically — it understands what a question stem, answer option, and correct answer marker are regardless of formatting. It works with numbered lists, lettered options, bold markers, checkmarks, inline answer keys, and more.
What question types are supported? ▾
Multiple choice, true/false, and matching questions. Scenario or case-study blocks that precede questions are detected and linked to the relevant questions automatically.
What happens if the AI misses something? ▾
The approval screen lets you review every extracted question before exporting. You can override any correct answer, approve or reject individual questions, and the system flags anything it wasn't confident about for your attention.
Can I close my browser while the AI is processing? ▾
Yes. Processing happens on our servers, completely independent of your browser. For large exams this can take 10+ minutes — you'll receive an email when it's ready. You can also check the status anytime from your Jobs page.
Is my document content kept confidential? ▾
Yes. Your uploaded document and extracted question data are deleted from our servers immediately after your Moodle XML file is exported. Only the document text is sent to Anthropic's API for AI processing — we do not use your documents to train AI models.
Do credits expire? ▾
No. Credits never expire. Buy a pack when you need it and use them at your own pace.
